Finished Reading:
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Honestly could have given this one a miss. I might watch one of the TV or movie adaptations to see if it's more interesting to me in that format.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. This is the new prequel to The Hunger Games and I enjoyed it even though I generally have little to no interest in villain origin stories. The Hunger Games/arena part feels like it should be a re-tread since this is basically the third iteration of it but as someone who will read the same fic premise 500 times, that doesn't bother me and there's enough interesting differences. In general, I find Suzanne Collins compulsively readable.

Now Reading:
A World Lit Only By Fire: The Medieval Mind and the Renaissance: Portrait of an Age by William Manchester. I'm sort of still reading this? But it seems to be past the social dynamics and art parts that are interesting to me and now it's apparently hundreds of pages about Martin Luther and John Calvin so I might drop it.

Failed Out:
The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl. I remember reading this a while ago (although I have no recollection of the ending) and I like historical fiction and murder mysteries but I really don't like the writing. It's kind of graphic and noir. Into the donations pile.

Up Next:
Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey. I've never read The Dragonriders of Pern although I love dragons and it seems very popular so I'm ready to give it a try.
