rec_cember and I am starting off with some vid recs!
Sometimes a vid is not just a great vid but also introduces you to a new favorite song that gets added to your repeat playlist and becomes forever inextricable from the vid. Or that happens to me at least. Here are 11 vids that did that to me.
Autoclave - Due South by blessyouwatson (paramountie). Most recent instance of this. (Comment on AO3!)
Sorrow - Captain America by Trelkez. I think this was my first introduction to The National and I love The National.
Seventeen Going Under - Ted Lasso by froggy jackpack. I'm not even a Jamie Tartt stan but this vid.
Zero - Leverage by Techno-Poet. Parker <3
Castle of Glass - Arrow by CSImaja. Thought about this vid recently and ended up rewatching all of season 1 and getting reinvested in Linkin Park as a band.
Angel with a Shotgun - Batman/DC by xMoneko. OG Tim Drake vid to me.
The Phoenix - The Expanse by thingswithwings. Dessa! Bring me all the Dessa vids. And all the Camina Drummer vids. (Comment on AO3!)
Jericho - Arcane by VidDuality. Wildly obsessed with this one.
Shut Up and Dance - Multifandom by MsTabulaRasa. THE dance vid!!
And a couple password protected vimeo hosted ones:
~St. Elmo's Fire - Cobra Kai by lilly_the_kid. The vid that convinced me to watch Cobra Kai after years of me rejecting Netflix recommending it to me.
~Afterlife - Killjoys by Scribe. Dutch and Johnny are very important to me.
Also, shout out to vids I've loved and lost:
~Inception vid to Lights by Ellie Goulding. Bought Ellie Goulding CD specifically because of you.
~BBC Musketeers Athos/Milady vid to Nothing by Ron Pope
~Heroes Peter and Nathan Petrelli vid to You Could Be Happy by Snow Patrol
~And my white whale, Kings Jack Benjamin vid to Lost by Coldplay. I still remember watching this on an LJ journal.
