slow it down or we're done for
Aug. 21st, 2019 08:26 pmReading Wednesday.
Finished Reading:
The City of Brass and The Kingdom of Copper by S. A. Chakraborty. Books that held my attention \o/ These were both like 600 pages and I finished them in a few days.
I did almost fail out at the very beginning where like the first ten chapters were wandering the desert and I was like PLEASE GET TO THE CITY. But I love the politics and the twists and the al Qahtani siblings. Nahri and Ali's friendship is my favorite and the part where these books really got me was when Ali and her were learning together (You...you would like to learn about economics? My special interest that no one ever wants to hear about?). And then they build the hospital together and oh dang the end of Kingdom of Copper. I almost wish I did my usual super late discovery of anything with these books because now I have to wait until 2020 for Empire of Gold and I want to know how things end right now!
Now Reading:
Just finished Kingdom of Copper so nothing right now.
Failed Out:
Did not fail out!
Up Next:
The library has Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim and A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine for me so I'll be picking those up this weekend.
