leave in the dead of the night
Sep. 11th, 2019 08:32 pmReading Wednesday.
Finished Reading:
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim. I enjoyed this. I saw it billed somewhere as Mulan meets Project Runway and that was pretty accurate. At least for the first section, then it goes into a quest. I appreciate that Maia is selfless but I did spend kind of a lot of this like 'Maia, you don't have to make sacrifices for these men!'
Now Reading:
A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine. I'm about a quarter of the way through this and I like it so much! Cultural differences and politics in space!! I'm here for it. It may take me a bit because I'm purposefully not binge reading it.
Failed Out:
Did not fail out!
Up Next:
I'm at the top of the library hold list for This Is How You Lose the Time War Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone so probably that.
