Hello! This journal is primarily about the media I'm currently consuming and all my fannish interests. Fandoms I'm most active in right now are Batman/DCU, Star Wars, Stargate Atlantis, Shadowhunters, and Foundation but I'm always into my previous fandoms as well (The Old Guard, X-Men, Daredevil, Leverage, Person of Interest, Lord of the Rings, and many others).

Hello!

I did a SG1 rewatch a few years ago and have toyed with the idea of doing a SGA rewatch since (and then onto rewatching SGU), but I worry that SGA might not live up to my nostalgic memories of it. I've half a mind to just stay in fandom-land for it with fic and head cannons, etc.
Have you rewatched SGA recently? If so, do you think it held up well?

Hello back! I haven't done a full series SGA rewatch in a while but it's the show I constantly come back to when I'm between other shows to piecemeal comfort watch my favorite episodes. Season 1 at least is gold to me so I'd say it holds up! Of course SGA fandom-land is AMAZING, an embarrassment of riches. I don't think you can go wrong either way :)

What sort of stuff do you like in Daredevil and Les Miz fandoms?

(And by stuff I mean pairings, but not completely if you don't have any. ;))

Daredevil OTP is Matt/Foggy avocados at law, although I did read some astoundingly well-written Matt/Frank at some point that I need to go find again.

Les Mis OTP is Enjolras/Grantaire. The amount of quality long fic is borderline ridiculous. I have like whole novels of it downloaded to read. It's the best possible fandom problem where I have so much to read I can't get any writing done.
(Is Les Miz with the z the appropriate shortening? This is what happens to me when I constantly join fandoms late. I'm probably also pronouncing all the names wrong and I had to Google why R is a pun for Grantaire.)

Yay! Another Mattfoggy shipper! They are one of my favorite, if not my favorite comfort ships. If I'm feeling bad, sad, or restless between fandoms, I read Mattfoggy and things are good. (I can't do Matt/Frank the angst level raises beyond my couping level, and after Punisher S1 I Kastle more than a little *shrug* and because I don't ship many het ships anymore I don't want to scare it away).

I've always meant to try to get into Enjolras/Grantaire, but I never seemed to find the good non-modern AU stories to get started with, but I ship Valjean/Javert from way back.

Please don't use me as an authority on how to spelling anything, I am a Bad Speller (tm). I just did a quick check on Fanlore though and it is shortened Les Miz AND Les Mis, so we are all good :D.

*nods* Matt/Foggy is wonderful. Something Dumb to Do by poisonivory is one of my faves and includes my favorite marriage of convenience trope.

Oh definitely Les Mis stuff is skewed to like 99% modern AUs. Personally I love that but if you're looking for the original like 1832 time period it's probably rough going.

Ah! *eyes light up* I see your SDtD (poisonivory is a goddess, and yes this is my favorite too) and raise you 'In Which the Avengers and Daredevil Don’t Know How to Share Friends and Foggy Nelson Has the Patience of a Saint' by cosmicocean (https://archiveofourown.org/works/4803449) that contains the trope that I personally think of as "The Avengers Love Foggy" because I love Foggy.

That is kind of why I stick to Valvert for Les Miz 'cause for whatever reason I can't really get into a pairing until I've got a solid amount of canon-set stories under my belt. I only go different setting AU after I feel really grounded. *shrugs* Personal quirk I guess. :)

Hello! I found this journal because I was looking to see if anyone else on this site had Apple TV Foundation on their interests...I might be a teensy bit obsessed with it. Also, I see you have Murderbot Diaries on your interests so you are clearly a person of taste.

I've mostly had RP journals, so this specific journal is new, but I was probably going to use it to post about fandom stuff also. (And probably also D&D maps I'm working on TBH.) Is it okay if I friend you or do you prefer to have talked more first?

EEEEEE IT LOOKS SO GOOD I'M SO EXCITED!

My spouse got Apple TV for watching the Murderbot Diaries adaptation around the time it dropped, and I randomly saw Foundation as a suggested series and decided to watch it. Mainlined the entire series in like 2 weeks, which is not typical for me. Might have stayed up a little too late on work nights more than once. I'm so pumped for Season 3 (although also a little scared of getting my heart broken--they've done so well so far but I've been burned by live action TV more than once).

Right?? I wish more people watched this show! I also randomly discovered it--I think via Lee Pace gifset on tumblr--and mainlined the whole thing. It has ripped my heart out like 7 times and I still love it.
