All Star Wars

Okay, Clone Wars has officially grabbed me now and I'm up to 2x16. Favorite episodes:

• 1x11 Dooku Captured & 1x12 The Gungan General - Episodes where I officially invested. I have a weird attachment to Dooku. He's just so petty and condescending but like in an enjoyable way. Especially in conjunction with Obi-Wan and Anakin. I've read some AU fic with Dooku and Obi-Wan that was super enjoyable to me because he's basically Obi-Wan's grandfather and I think he and Obi-Wan have temperaments that are more similar to each other than to Qui-Gon so the three of them is an interesting dynamic.
• 1x20 Innocents of Ryloth - Waxer and Boil and the tiny, sassy Twi'lek girl were incredibly adorable. Obi-Wan was also super adorable with her securely and confidently on his shoulder and then trying to shield her eyes which she was having none of. Obi-Wan's mind control of the giant beast things and then gymnastics and the new trooper going 'Incredible' and Cody being like 'Shush. Here General Kenobi, I held onto your lightsaber for you' was also amazing.
• 2x05 Landing at Point Rain - Wow, this was like some Band of Brothers and the only time we see Obi-Wan so injured he literally can't stand.
• 2x07 Legacy of Terror - This had a lot of Obi-Wan and Anakin banter that I enjoyed.
• 2x12 The Mandalore Plot, 2x13 Voyage of Temptation & 2x14 Duchess of Mandalore - I super enjoyed this whole arc with Obi-Wan and Satine, particularly Voyage of Temptation where Anakin clearly ships them and they have their dramatic but somehow understated love confessions.

So clearly Obi-Wan continues to be my favorite but I also love all the new female characters this show is giving me. Ahsoka, Luminara, Bariss, Aayla, Satine, Jedi librarian lady, the shy senator that throws down that spear on the ice world. Good.

Star Wars Prequels Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan relationship fix because I still have a lot of sad feelings about them, okay? This is actually almost done although I feel like I started pretty light and then it devolved into more angst than I usually tend to write and the resolution is maybe a little abrupt. Also I usually do strict single POV and this cascades through three separate POVs but without any of them being long enough for their own chapter so I hope the page separators make it clear enough.

And I have many questions about capitalization rules for master, knight, etc and how dates work in Star Wars! Is a cycle a day or a year or did I just make that up as a term? I've seen tenday used in some fic and I'm assuming that just means ten days which is basically like saying a week and a half? How does anyone know what year it is in prequels era?! Clearly they weren't using BBY because no one before the Battle of Yavin knew that the Battle of Yavin was going to happen in the future. Maybe I'll just make up a random acronym or cut out the piece where I was going to use that. I made up a bunch of planet names and things probably because I started out in Wookipeedia but then I just kept spiraling deeper into it so I closed it.
