So...do you think scruffy!Day is the Dawn from the end of S2? Also, my called shot is that Raych in the trailer is a fantasy that the Mule is using to try and get to Gaal, Black Mercy style.

Also, I'm glad we did get Strange New Worlds S3. When S2 ended where it did relative to the writer's strike, I thought we might never get more. (And TBF the writer's strike is more important, but it's nice that we also got more Strange New Worlds!)

I feel like I never have any idea what's going to happen season to season in Foundation lol. They do so much time skip and character death that I'm like 'who is left and where are we going??' but also it's really good at making me care about newly introduced characters so I'm excited for whatever!!

Just read an article that we're getting 5 seasons of Strange New Worlds!

Totally! But I feel like Dawn and Sareth are too big of a dangling plot thread to just not come up again on screen. I also have a hard time imagining Demarzel letting any of the ones under her direct supervision get that scruffy. But, as you say, it's hard to predict.

Re: Strange New Worlds, exciting! I won't be watching S3 of that right away, since we have Apple TV instead of Paramout Plus, so I won't get to see that until after Foundation is done. But good to have things to look forward to!

Yes, also loved Lower Decks! I had an intense phase with the newer Star Trek stuff last year. I was very into Discovery too.

Every trailer I see about Foundation is just gorgeous. It is in my queue and I suppose I should get to it since there's a season 3 soon.

You might be right, given what Gaal and Hari were planning. It'll be interesting to see!

I only got into Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds. It's been interesting--I was very into TOS when I was a kid (it had a rerun phase on Sci-Fi Channel--remember when they used to do different themed TV marathons every weekday?), but haven't really re-watched it much as an adult apart from some of the movies. I've watched a tiny bit of DS9 and TNG but not that much. Still, it's enough to get a decent number of the references.

They actually released the full series on Blu-Ray (which is getting rarer, booo), so I've got that and my spouse and I have been watching through it since she didn't watch it with me when I did the first run.

I love how many gateways there are into Star Trek. I was hooked by the reboot movies.

It makes me so sad when series aren't released on DVD/Blu-Ray! I'm eternally irritated with Apple because they release like nothing and it's such a weird marketing move to me. Like, let people discover Foundation on the library shelves! Let me own it!

I know--and the thing that extra annoys me is that we all know they can capriciously pull it off their platform and make it unavailable. They think they can rake in the money of subscriptions forever, but realistically, I think it just encourages piracy when you refuse to make things available legit.

I love Star Trek Beyond. For me, it's the movie that really gets the Star Trek formula the best. We want you to throw various configurations of characters into a situation and see how they solve it creatively!

Oh and also--you miss out on behind the scenes stuff mostly! The Lower Decks Blu-Ray set has a bunch of cool ones. I was just watching the one from S2 where they talked about the sound design of the show, which was fascinating!
